It’s pretty rad you have wandered here (or maybe I told you about it), and I count it a grace gift from God and praise Him for it. A few hopes I have for this space, other than to refresh you on this journey…

First, if you don’t know Jesus, I want to introduce you to Him.¬†Jesus changed me. Still changes me. He is the best friend you’ll ever have, the wisest counselor, the most comforting embrace, the most exciting part of your day, the kindest listener, and so much more. If you do know Jesus, I want to inspire and spur you on to greater faith in Him. I hope you come and go encouraged in your own spiritual flourishing.

Second, I want you to know you aren’t alone. We are all human, we all struggle, we all have challenges and joys in our life. We are running the race set before us, and if we don’t stick together, I think we’ll be miserable. Wherever your feet are planted today, I pray the Truth and reflections shared on this blog will refresh you.

Third, this blog has become the place to cultivate my love of testimony. Whether it’s my own lesson of growth or a friend’s story of a particular circumstance, the presence, faithfulness, and nature of God threads beautifully and uniquely in one’s life. My awe of God deepens when I see Him working in someone else. I hope the stories I tell, the lessons I learn, the truth I process, and the growing pains I share will do the same for you.

Fourth, why do I write? I write to inspire my own heart, mind, and soul toward life with God. I write to serve others. I write to iron out thoughts and feelings. I write to apply the Bible’s instruction and counsel. I write in an effort to not completely burst when wrestling a fear or sin. I write to glorify God, to process difficult things, to connect with others. I write to uncover the purpose of a situation or desire of my heart.

But for me it is good to be near God; I have made the Lord GOD my refuge, that I may tell of all your works. Psalm 73:28
