What’d you do this weekend?

02/09/2015 · In: marriage

heartnaturedAmong other things, I threw my first successful surprise party! My main squeeze turns 30 next week, so I thought it only appropriate to surprise him with some extra birthday celebrating. There was food, lots of dessert, friends from all over the place to catch up with, and 30 candles. There was a good bit of (loving) fibbing, lots of planning, and some excited nerves. Obviously the best part was that he was completely surprised! & loved every minute of it.

Other finds…

A super-cool magazine rack DIY.

Recipes that can be made faster and better in a toaster oven.

I have quite a few “long-distance” close friends: I might have to follow this advice.

Digging this blog right now.

Sparkling sweet tea, the perfect cocktail.

A genius way to organize your workweek.

The best way to reheat a slice of pizza.

Would you like tea by the slice?

I’m a fan of dinner parties, and these supper menus are great.

Stunning nighttime photos of NYC.

>> P.S. Unglued and the Holy Spirit.

My friend, it was quite a fun feat. But I told my man the next one would probably be his 50th. ;)
