I took a couple photography classes in college, and in my second class, one of the assignments involved reflections. Even though Statesboro is a marvelous town, it’s lacking in pretty windows and interesting street views. So I made a plan to drive to Savannah, stay with J’s brother and sister-in-law for the night. The night I planned to leave, he surprised me by showing up in Statesboro! We rode over together and had a great time walking around scenic Savannah, me with camera in hand, him enjoying the company. I tell him that it was that day I realized that him being present makes anything better.
Memory lane. It can be a place of sadness, excitement, joy, and bittersweet-ness. This one is a sweet memory for me.
{Also, Steffany Gretzinger and what I’ve learned from my mom.}
Have you ever been to Savannah, Georgia? It’s beautiful, and there is so much to do!
I love that he showed up to enjoy the day with you…way too sweet! I so bad want to take a photography class but not sure where to start! Small town America doesn’t give many options. This post and the gorgeous pictures make me want to start researching for a class now! :)
