Happy happy Friday

04/17/2015 · In: life

I’m combating the spontaneous chilly and overcast weather of today with this fun, Spring-inspired Masters cup.

Patsy Clairmont tweeted this earlier today,

The rigors of Friday lead to the rest and recreation of Saturday and the rejoicing of Sunday. Press on!

Oh how true and inspiring it is. Happy, happy Friday!

In all honesty, this week was kind of a blur. A wholesome, happening, life-filled blur. J got home from work late last night — as he was finishing his 8:30pm grilled cheese sandwich, he offered to wash the cookie sheet I had just put in the sink. I move out of the way, and about 2.5 minutes later he squirts me with the faucet, soaking a part of my shirt. Something like that would never make me mad, normally I give him a ‘look’ [girls, you know what I mean] but last night especially it resulted in the opposite. We doubled over in laughter, and I was brought back to a fullness of joy that a long work day was trying to consume. Gratitude, grace, joy, the weekend!

Make a joyful noise to the Lord. Serve the Lord with gladness, come before his presence with singing. Know that the Lord he is God.. Psalm 100

What are your plans for the weekend? We’ve got a full one, complete with equal parts activity and rest. Have a good one, friends; below are finds from recent web wandering. Enjoy!

I’d love to live in this urban treehouse.

Not a huge fan of jelly, but I’d definitely eat these.

Loved watching these Hand Lettering Tips!

Can you imagine J and I making fairy toast?

This girl’s challenge to choose joy.

I liked reading this interview about couples in the kitchen!
