This weekend. Wowzers. We closed on our house Friday, moved all day Saturday, and spent Sunday with family. [Post soon to come about move.]
Coming off of it, my body is tired and my heart is super full. Joy over time with both of our families, gratitude and praise to God for the hope that is the resurrection of Jesus! and peace of being fully moved into our new home.
God is so good, so faithful, so gracious.
The title of this post came from a song we sang Sunday morning, and that phrase has stayed with me. Written by Jack W. Harford,
Rise, O Church, and lift your voices; Christ has conquered death and hell. Sing as all the earth rejoices; Resurrection anthems swell. Come and worship, come and worship; Worship Christ, the risen King!
Yesterday was a day of heart singing, rejoicing in the life and hope of Christ, family fun, and lots of laughter.
I loved capturing so many marvelous moments yesterday. The passions of my family — my cousin and his fishing career, my mother-in-law with her cooking, my sister and her bow, my dad’s animals — were sweet to see and experience.
Here’s to living in and out of the hope, light, and person of Jesus.
