Watching… Friday Night Lights! (for the first time ever)
Trying… to not get overwhelmed by the flood of projects on my task list at work.
Cooking… shrimp and grits. We’re practicing our unique take on the recipe to make for my entire family on vacation next week.
Eating… peaches! Peaches are my favorite summertime snack.
Drinking… lots and lots of water… with the occasional Starbucks mocha frappuccino in a glass bottle.
Calling… in-laws about plans for the weekend. My brother and sister in-law are coming to visit from Colorado!
Texting… best friends about everything and anything. The trivial and the important. Thankful.
Pinning… a little of everything: recipes, home organization inspiration, and fuel for my travel itch.
Tweeting… not a lot. I’m a little weary of social media these days.
Going… to St. George Island, Florida next week for family vacation! Sand, ocean, family, fun, rest. YES.
Loving… my first summer married to J and time with my sister who is home from college.
Hating… how much pain, suffering, hate, and evil is in the world. My soul yearns for Jesus to come.
Discovering… how strong I really can be if I make up my mind. I have the power inside me to not be solely a victim in difficult or trying moments, but to stand, to choose the best way for me, to engage.
Thinking… about how I can love people better — my husband, my family, my coworkers, strangers.
Feeling… eager and hopeful about life. Beginning yoga practice, family coming to visit, vacation coming up, what I’m reading, how I’m learning, etc.
Hoping… that this week flies by because the weekend ahead is full and next week is beach week!
Listening (to)… The Village Church sermon podcast.
Celebrating… my first year-anniversary at my job! I’m doing what I’ve always wanted to do, I’m stretching myself in new ways, and I’m daily around talented, kind, funny, great people.
Smelling… my favorite Spring flower, tulips!
Thanking… my husband for being my favorite person to talk too.
Considering… a big trip for J and I. Perhaps New York, or the Grand Canyon, or California.
Starting… to wonder what it would be like to be a vegetarian, and considering it.
Finishing… another journal and moving onto a new one!
