My Weekend According To My iPhone

06/10/2015 · In: life

A weekend at the beach is always good for the soul. Combine that with family, delicious food, a couple good books, great conversation, and walks with my man? I come back to work today thankful and content.

We treated ourselves to ice cream, we ate seafood, we played in the ocean, we dug in the sand. J and I took walks on the beach, sat in chairs, and played in the ocean, talking about whatever came to mind.

I’m thankful for the good relationship I have with my new family. It was great to catch up with my new siblings, to love on their kids, to talk about what life currently looks like.

I’m thankful for a love that laughs and plays. For a love that listens and cares.

And I’m thankful to a God for the grace of a restful, fun, memorable weekend.

P.S. a book about friendship and why I try to keep our house clean.

Going to a beach looks like so much fun. I have yet to go boating or even step out in my bikini! I hate getting older sometimes because I seem to do that kind of stuff less! Glad you had so much fun :)

I agree, Chelsea! In adulthood it seems like you have to fight for those simply fun, adventurous moments. Thanks friend!
