Those are the words that characterized my Thanksgiving week. (Besides family, of course.) How was yours?
We had quite the full week, as I imagine many others did. With both of our families in town, we pray for wisdom and grace in balancing time during the holidays. Coming off of it, I’m a little sleepy, but extremely grateful and full of joy over the time we had with our family. All the siblings came into town, we visited with aunts and uncles, cousins and grandparents. We ate lots of delicious food and hung out by the campfire at night (because during the day is was 70 degrees! Hello, south Georgia). The guys went hunting and shot skeet. We — my sister, mom, and I — went shopping in honor of Black Friday, and watched Christmas movies as we decorated for December.
I spent quiet, unhurried moments with my Bible and catching up with my parents. I rejoiced over time off of work. My stomach praised my family for being such good cooks. And I spent many a moment thanking God for the blessing of my two families, and the season J and I are in together.
— Any standout moments from your Thanksgiving week?
— What is your favorite Thanksgiving dish? Mine would be any kind of casserole, if I may be so general.
Lovely Post and lovely pictures! You really enjoyed your thanksgiving day! – I had a great time with family and friends… lots of food and chatting! Thanks for sharing! Blessings
I live in Georgia too, but we ended up in Arkansas for my family’s Thanksgiving this year. This weather really is hard to beat :). The cinnamon rolls look delicious!
