If We Were On A Coffee Date #02 (It’s Now A Linkup!)

12/29/2015 · In: life

If We Were On A Coffee Date... | heartnatured

Announcing! Heartnatured’s first linkup: If We Were On A Coffee Date…

Read all about my heart behind this linkup and how it got started, while I tell you a couple things, if we were on a coffee date….

I’d order anything minty they had, because I kid you not, I’m still delighting over the mint chocolate coconut milk I mentioned last time.

I’d confess that the only Christmas decoration I’ve taken down are the ornaments off the tree, and that took almost an entire afternoon because I kept getting distracted.

I’d excitedly share that I ran for the first time in over 3 weeks tonight! I’ve been on a hiatus thanks to a serious pinched nerve in my neck, and even though I was skeptical, I really wanted to go out. Ran/walked two miles, and it was quite fabulous.

We would again marvel (cough complain) at how warm it was here in South Georgia on Christmas Day. Bonkers. As much as I can say I’m glad there isn’t ice everywhere, I badly wanted to wear a sweater and boots on Christmas Day.

I would ask what your New Year’s plans are! Like I mentioned last week, we’ll be in Colorado (by the way, packing for 20 degrees is an adventure).

I would share with you how I’ve experienced Jesus as my best friend. Something about the Holy Spirit being a constant companion — the gift has come to light in my life recently. I want to learn how to cultivate more intimacy with Him, more conversation, more trust, more peace.

I would ask about your favorite Christmas gift you received! And gave. I got a cool watch from my sister, a great winter jacket from my mom (that’s happily coming to CO with me), the Willow Tree Nativity scene from my man, glittery Toms and earrings from my grandma, and a couple other fun things. I got my dad some signs to go on his chicken coup, and he smiled so big! It was the best.

Let’s catch up, friend!

YES I’M SO EXCITED! :) I’ll be writing a post for this next week. I’m dying to publish it sooner but I have posts scheduled already for NEXT YEAR. (Can you believe it’s next year almost?) Thank you for sharing a metaphorical coffee with me and having a soul talk. I love these.

I’m thinking about doing one every week, or every other week? What do you think?
