Week 1/52

01/08/2016 · In: life

It’s a new year, the beginning of another 52 weeks. I thought it’d be fun to have a weekly, consistent blog post about the week’s events. It’ll consist of a photo, a quote, a song, a story, a recipe, and something that made it the best day ever.

—- Photo + Story

Are you a Sherlock fan? We are, and bought our tickets for the big theater showing months ago. We got home Tuesday night and I went to making dinner. Half the way through, a notification on my phone goes off that says “Sherlock: The Abominable Bride” showing in 30 minutes! We ditch the dinner I was making and eat whatever is in front of us, throw lots of candy in my purse, and run out the door… to a great episode of Sherlock!

— Quote

“I hope, now that you know you are forgive, you will spend most of your remaining strength in forgiving.” C.S. Lewis

—- Song

A couple songs I’ve been jamming to at work this week are on Carrie Underwood’s new album, Storyteller. Renegade Runaway, Clock Don’t Stop, and Heartbeat.

—- Recipe

Basil parmesan soup. I don’t have any photos, but it was a great one. Chicken, pasta, tomatoes, cheese. It also wasn’t heavy, which I like.

—- Why it was the best day ever:

God as my constant companion. That’s what made this week great; being a little weary from our Colorado trip, back to work, house to clean, it was a little trying. But He is present in every single moment, to help and inspire and strengthen.

Hope you’ve had a great week, friends!

I just heard Heartbeat yesterday! I really enjoyed it.
I can’t wait to see the new Sherlock episode!!! We’re waiting for it to come available on Netflix.
