We made it to another Friday, friends! I hope you are well, smiling, and thankful this morning.
Photo —- Waffles for dinner! Possibly my all-time favorite breakfast item, available at any meal time. Praise the Lord for such a wonder. :)
Are you the ‘breakfast for dinner’ type?
Story —-
I recieved some great jewelry this week in the mail, inspired by a desire to support more fair trade work. Noonday Collection and Raven + Lily. Below is a necklace from Raven + Lily. They have beautiful pieces, and each one comes with a story. I plan to build my accessory arsenal this way, supporting other beautiful women around the world and their creativity.
Quote —-
I am really digging Charles Spurgeon lately. Almost every quote or passage of his that I read I want to memorize. Below is one of his that has challenged me this week.
“Let us show to the people of the world, who think our religion to be slavery, that it is to us a delight and a joy! Let our gladness proclaim that we serve a good Master.”
Song —-
I’m actually on the lookout for some new, upbeat tunes. Any suggestions? I’m on the hunt for some happy music.
Recipe —-
This isn’t something I have made, but in this lifetime I truly hope too: Maple Belgian Waffle Cake. Ummmmm…. Too good.
I’m thankful for —-
This week I am thankful for the mercy of God that continually pursues me when I’m wrestling, confused, unfaithful, and striving. I’m thankful for physical therapy that helps ease the pain in my neck. I’m thankful for a husband to belly laugh with. I’m thankful for a strong sister.
I adore Charles Spurgeon quotes. My favorites are “I have learned to kiss the waves that throw me up against the Rock of Ages” and “Your emptiness is but the preparation for your being filled, and your casting down is but the making ready for your lifting up.” His words are so full of beautiful truth!
I’m so glad you shared that second quote with me Cassandra!
