Weight: 20 pounds!
Clothes: 8 months old and we’re rocking 9 month pajamas and 12 month pants.

Sleeping: We’re consolidating daytime sleep finally, so yay for that. Some days she takes 2 naps, other days it is still 3.
Eating: Milk, milk and more milk.. and oatmeal… with the occasional jar food.
Health: Growing and gaining! I think we’re on the front end of a little teething. Her hair is really coming in also.
Likes: Putting everything in her mouth, dancing in the jumperoo, oatmeal, playing tug-of-war with a burp cloth or pjs, and rolling from her back to her belly.
Dislikes: Avocado… and bananas.
Memorable Moments: We had our first ‘roll to our stomach’ while we were sleeping, a couple times in one night, but only once!

Our first Easter together was a bit unconventional thanks to COVID-19, but I kind of enjoyed the slower pace to it.
Quirks: Anna still quite aggressively continues to pick up and throw her legs down on the mattress while she’s asleep at night. Sometimes it’s so loud it wakes both of us up! She also can now find the pacifier and put it back in when she wakes up.
She has a sweet smile but our favorite is when she sticks her tongue out with it — so much joy.
She has also developed a fascination with her hands, she’ll catch a glimpse of them and turn them over and over as if she’s inspecting them for the first time.

Parent Stories: Whenever she is in a giggly mood, we LOVE making her laugh. It’s the best sound.
John is our pro manicurist, and Anna is pretty great at being still for him!
John reads Anna a few books and sings to her as a nighttime routine, and Anna has started turning the pages for him (rather speedily). So funny and cute.
Prayers: We’ve been reading Max Lucado’s The Oak Inside The Acorn, and it reminds me of Isaiah 61: “The spirit of the Lord is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the poor, to give them the garment of praise, instead of a faint spirit, that they may be called oaks of righteousness, the planting of the Lord that he may be glorified.” (1-3)
We pray Anna grows up with a hunger for God, rooted in His love for her and courage to glorify Him in all she does.
