God turned me onto the cause of human trafficking when I was in high school, and it has stayed with me. In college I wrote papers, I gave speeches, I did design projects on the issue of trafficking. We give financially, I write letters, and so many other unique activity over the years. The last few years, it’s sweet to use Beautycounter to share and give.
This month is Human Trafficking Awareness month.
Two organizations I admire are Agape International Missions and A21 Campaign.
It’s sobering and humbling: 40.3 million people are estimated to be living in modern day slavery worldwide (via).
I am easily burdened and overwhelmed and deeply sorrowful about the reality of human trafficking. Now being a mom myself, when I think of children, I am grieved, and wish I could make it go away entirely. But it’s sin and evil and brokenness and so big. But nothing is impossible with God. Christine Caine, the founder of A21 Campaign, says this, “No one person can do everything but every one of us can do something.”
January, February and March, I’m giving 100% of my Beautycounter profit to these two organizations. If you are interested in starting a clean beauty routine or restocking your favorites, we together will give a small amount to this cause and trust God to multiply and go with it.
