There are days I leave the majority of toys across the floor because it’s been that kind of day and I know she’s just going to pull them out in 12 hours. Then there are days I take 10 minutes and walk through our most frequented spaces while John does bath time.
I’m all about grace for hard days and things not being tidy and perfectly picked up every day.
BUT…
I always feel better when I reset the room at the end of the day.
I reset the kitchen after breakfast.
I reset the living spaces and the playroom after I put Anna down for a nap.
I reset whatever areas need it as we settle in for reading or watching a movie.
Now…
I am about to enter newborn life, so the days and motivation will ebb and flow as they do. But even when it isn’t convenient or easy or enjoyable, a five minute reset has the potential to work wonders. I’m here for that.
