Before breakfast we hit the front yard to get close to a few turtles.
After 3 small coffee cups full of Cheerios we played until friends came over.
While playing with our friends we had many moments of whining and being reminded that “we love our friends by sharing our toys.”
After our friends left we took a sleeve of crackers to our friends’ greenhouses around the corner and fed the goats.
Came back for half of a peanut butter sandwich and strawberries and a nap.
I spent naptime cleaning, purging and re-organizing our bathroom and closet. I’m smiling just thinking about there neatness. (I have a running list of to-do’s that fall under the title “Things future me will be grateful for when this baby arrives.”)
After nap, we had a snack out on the front porch with the bubble fish.
Later we went for tacos at church, I enjoyed a night at Youth and John spent the hour at a discipleship meeting.
Taking my nephew home from youth as I often do, we made a detour to the gas station for candy. We had great conversation the whole way. I loved it.
Walked in to my daughter’s happy face and energetic jumping, skipping and twirling self.
Sang a few hymns and said Goodnight.
It was a long, varied, ordinary, good day and my heart is bursting. Who knows what tomorrow will bring; praising God for today.
