“The Lord watches over you—the Lord is your shade at your right hand; the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night. The Lord will keep you from all harm—he will watch over your life; the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore” (Psalm 121:5-8). It’s true for me and it’s true for my loved ones.
Right behind wholeheartedly adoring Him, being satisfied in God should be a most significant goal in my life. When I’m satisfied in Him, with Him, by Him, everything else is gravy. This frees me to give generously and have a little gratitude when I’m tempted to grumble.
It brings a great deal of freedom and comfort when I accept and settle in to going at God’s pace for me. Some days I might get a lot “done,” others not so much. Some seasons might have creative work seen by many, other seasons the expression happens in less visible ways. When I invite His thoughts, asking what matters most today, and accept the grace to make it happen…. peace.
Where I tend to believe that I need to be consuming Biblical content to be learning and growing, it turns out, my ongoing conversation with God is all the “content” I really need.
