God can do anything, you know—far more than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams! He does it not by pushing us around but by working within us, his Spirit deeply and gently within us.
Glory to God in the church!
Glory to God in the Messiah, in Jesus!
Glory down all the generations!
Glory through all millennia! Oh, yes!
— Ephesians 3:20
His plans for us may include short seasons of hardship or long seasons of hurt. His plans will include gain and loss, ease and challenge, joy and sorrow. His plans will take us places we wish we didn’t to go, and they will take us on adventures we never dreamed would be so wonderful. His plans might lead us through fog or uncertainty, through sharpening and growth, and delight and abundance.
We don’t know the entirety of His plan for us, but one thing that changes not is that His presence is with us, His heart is for us, His attention is on us.
Wherever you find yourself, in this moment, hiding nothing, acknowledge that He is God. He made you and you belong to Him. Thank Him. Praise Him. He’s the purest good. He loves you. He’s faithful to you.
