Health: 19 pounds! and…. We’re currently on our third bout of pink eye drops. Also, her eczema is still really bad. Trying a new product. Size 5 diapers. 9-12 month clothes.
Eating: Milk, oatmeal and splitting her bottles with formula to get her acclimated. We have 10ish days left of frozen breastmilk. Puree pouches she’s digging. We’re trying bananas, peas and a few other things but she’s slow to the joy.
Sleeping: She’s still blessedly sleeping anywhere from 10-13 hours at night and pretty consistently only taking 2 naps. Sometimes that means she goes to sleep at 6 o’clock, which feels crazy to me but it’s working for her.
Likes: Opening and closing the doors of the play kitchen, “standing up,” riding in the stroller watching Anna run, warm shower water, pulling magnets off the fridge.

Dislikes: Eye drops, most table food (aka tears after trying a pea)
Memorable Moments/Quirks/Skills: She’s basically gnawing on her fingers and the dry skin is driving me a little bonkers.
We ventured to Athens to hang with my best friend and her boys, Julia’s first real road trip I think.
Three bouts of what we think is pink eye has been something. I’ll say that.
After watching Anna do a couple back rolls off the playroom couch she wanted to try. She’ll inch toward the edge of the couch and do a front roll into my arms, smiling so big when she’s finished.
Poor second kid, I kept telling myself to buy her a few pairs of socks but then our February was so warm we didn’t need them. Now it’s been pretty chilly and bless her heart, still no socks.
So determined. She pulls herself up on the treadmill and climbs up. She persistently crawls over you like a jungle gym.
Prayers: That God would give great grace to savor and absorb these moments; my own stamina for the steady stream of volume and questions and requests; for Anna’s heart to continue to soften and grow towards kindness and generosity and obedience; sooo much gratitude for this life.
