If I hold on to anything other than God too tight, it ruins it, or it becomes idolatrous.
I am the gatekeeper of what gets in, what gets to sit at the table of my mind. “The kingdom of darkness has everything to fear if it loses its hidden ground of guerilla warfare in our heads. There, camouflaged by busyness, arrogance, self-pity, or shame, it skillfully turns us against ourselves to degrees that range from distracting to destructive. Untruth has never been neutral. Practically, changing the locks in our minds can begin with two steps: 1. Next time a thought presses our minds for entrance, pause long enough to ask, Can I think this thought with Jesus? If so, wonderful. Whether comforting or corrective, think with God in the room. 2. If not, let the battle begin: treat such thoughts as intruders and their nurturing as disobedience.” Alicia Britt Chole
It’s all a miracle. Not just the wonderful gift of family and friends, but the me that God’s grace is forming and sustaining. God Himself is at the heart of it, but it’s all a miracle because of who He is.
“It’s not in your push, it’s in your position. Position yourself in Love. And let the confidence that you are loved straighten your back as you stand in this day.” Steffany Gretzinger
