It’s easy to think that how the masses see us is the most true understanding of who we are. What the majority of people think of us is important, right? Indeed. But we all know what is even truer… who we are in private means the most.
He plays for hours in the pool.
He reads book after book at bedtime.
He listens and prays for us all.
He builds magnet creations day after day.
This Father’s Day Sunday ended with Anna busting her lip on a dining room chair and being held by John for probably an hour.
The father John is in private… imperfect, wise, fun, generous, strong… is telling a story of fatherhood I’m loving to read.
